TOPEKA, Kan., May 18, 2011 -
Ryan Johnson, who has deep experience at multiple levels of the
financial services industry, has joined se2
as vice president, strategic business development.
se2 is a provider of insurance industry
business technology and processing solutions.
Johnson will be responsible for establishing and sustaining
se²'s Tier One accounts, which has become a
rapidly growing segment of the company's customer base because of
the wide appeal of the company's tailored, end-to-end insurance
company technology solutions. He will report directly to Eric Rea,
se2 President.
"Ryan has worked in both the asset management and the insurance
industry, and brings a broad range of experience in developing
operational and distribution strategies across many financial
services segments," said Rea. "He understands the dynamics of the
insurance industry, the business of our customers and how
technology investments need to make an impact across an entire
enterprise."
For nearly two decades, he has managed a wide variety of
business functions including: institutional investment accounting
platform applications; sales and marketing functions for a mutual
fund firm; founded and managed a fund distribution and advisory
company; coordinated sales and marketing operations and managed
broker-dealer relationships for a major life insurer; and directed
marketing and sales for a 130-branch Broker-Dealer.
"se² is at the forefront of delivering
business process excellence to the insurance industry. The
opportunity to help companies provide better service, significantly
lower costs, and bring better products to market faster is truly
exciting," Johnson said. "The insurance industry is changing. Gone
are the days of slow decision making and poor execution. New
competitors are emerging and capital is now only allocated to clear
winners. se2 has the tools to help companies
transform and ultimately to outperform their competitors by
providing comprehensive end to end technology and service
solutions. In many ways our challenge is simple: find client
partners that see their future as clearly as we see ours and then
make sure they achieve it…. because that means we will have
achieved ours."
Johnson has a bachelor's degree in economics from Whitman
College, with additional studies at the Securities Industries
Institute, as well as strategic management and financial strategies
at Columbia University and the University of Chicago,
respectively.
