Community Involvement

se² is part of a larger organization committed to serving our community and beyond. On behalf of all of its businesses, Security Benefit allocates hundreds of thousands of dollars annually in our local communities to various civic and charitable organizations to support a special quality of life for our associates and our neighbors. And many of the more than 300 se² associates are involved in a wide variety of civic and charitable activities as both donors and volunteers.

We respect and celebrate the diversity of our associates, and the value that diversity brings to our company and our community. Our corporatewide diversity council works to support diverse activities in the community and raises awareness of those activities, both externally and internally.

Under Security Benefit's "Dollars for Hours" program, associates track the number of volunteer hours they commit to not-for-profit organizations of their choice. The company then donates cash to that organization for every increment of 50 volunteer hours. During 2009, more than 5,500 volunteer hours were logged, generating more than $7,000 in corporate donations.

It all adds up to a smart, dedicated, results-oriented team, committed to doing right by their customers, and their community.
